King Tywell II Lannister[a] was a King of the Rock, identified by some as the king who was served his own son in a pie by the legendary Rat Cook.
Biography[]
Background[]
According to legend, a king and his son once visited the Nightfort, where the latter was killed and served to his oblivious father in a pie. The king enjoyed the pie so much that he asked for a second helping.[1]
Game of Thrones: Season 3[]
Bran tells the legend of the Rat Cook to Meera and Jojen.[1]
In the books[]
In The World of Ice & Fire, the legend is the same. In some tellings, the king was Oswell I Arryn, not Tywell II Lannister.[2]
