A map showing the location of the Torrentine on the continent of Westeros.

The Torentine, or Torrentine, is a river in southwestern Dorne. It flows out of the Red Mountains and into the Summer Sea. The castle of Starfall is located at its mouth, while the castle of Blackmont is located further north along its banks.

In the books

In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, the Torentine is identified as one of the obstacles a traveler would have to traverse if they were trying to reach Oldtown if they were unable to use the Redwyne Straits (along with the burning deserts and rocky coastline further south-east).
