Reek, Reek, it rhymes with meek

I propose that, following the convention of the books in which Theon's POV chapters actually get retitled "Reek" to convey just how much his identity has been lost, we should retitle this article "Reek".

Possibly, though, we might hold off on retitling it until Season 4 heirs, given that the "Reek" thing was only just established in the season finale, and lets be honest, many people have as-yet to catch up on their DVR/HBO Go/Blu-ray marathons.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 16:51, June 27, 2013 (UTC)

However, it might be confusing. Theon's lawful name is Theon Greyjoy, despite Ramsay's torture.--Gonzalo84 (talk) 17:02, June 27, 2013 (UTC)
Fine, I thought it would be fun, but it particularly doesn't make sense this early in the story. Maybe next season I'll raise the issue again, but this is too early.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 17:05, June 27, 2013 (UTC)
I vote it for now to rename this page Reek. You can see in episode 2, that he isn't Theon anymore. He must remember his name. -- 14:58, April 16, 2014 (UTC)
Needles to say, I'd also be in favour of the move.--The-Boy 15:01, April 16, 2014 (UTC)

Well, has your opinion changed, Gonzalo84?--The Dragon Demands (talk) 15:11, April 16, 2014 (UTC)

Me too, but I guess it doesn't matter, I'm not part of the admins. Gladiatus (talk) 16:07, April 16, 2014 (UTC)

Of course it matters... everyone has a say, not just admins.--The-Boy 16:12, April 16, 2014 (UTC)

I hope you won't change the title. The page represents the character as a whole, before his identity was lost. I don't belive it's appropriate for an encyclopedia, nor is it reader-friendly. --Martell (talk) 18:37, April 16, 2014 (UTC)
There are certain characters in the books who also get new name. If they establish this in the series, should we also rename there pages.--Mesmermann (talk) 19:40, April 16, 2014 (UTC)

Our role model, AWoIaF, keeps the name Theon Greyjoy and it will be confusing to some readers.--Gonzalo84 (talk) 00:35, April 17, 2014 (UTC)

But Reek is now Theon again, his own POVs say so. Gladiatus (talk) 09:18, April 17, 2014 (UTC)

Are we not discussing this anymore? I'm also in favor of renaming it. At this point, there would be no confusion in renaming the article to Reek. It's as Yara [Asha] said in the episode.. Theon is dead, now only Reek remains. It would actually add a lot to the article by playing along to what Ramsay did to Theon and treating him as Reek, demonstrating the transformation in the article to a much grander scale. Mandon (talk) 07:28, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

You can add all the information about Ramsay's torture, but I guess the page will be kept as Theon Greyjoy. --Gladiatus (talk) 17:57, September 24, 2014 (UTC)

"and even cut off his genitals"

I got the assumption Ramsay had left his balls intact.

Theon and Sansa's status should be "Alive". It has been confirmed in this interview, among other important topics, that they did survive the jump. Take a look. Mikividosevicgasparotti (talk) 12:05, July 2, 2015 (UTC)

Theon's age?

I was wondering why there is no age for theon. I recall recently watching a YouTube video from a trusted channel that said theon was 9 years old at the end of the greyjoy rebellion, which was 6 years after Robert's rebellion. This would make him roughly 3 years older than Robb and Jon. I'd say he's 23.

Ages have been changed in the TV version, we can't assume they're like the book version. We only list an age when it is definitively stated in the TV show continuity (which includes the Histories & Lore animated featurettes). To my knowledge Theon's age at the time of the Greyjoy Rebellion was not stated in the TV continuity. 9 years plus 6 equals 15, but in the TV show 17 years pass since Robert's Rebellion. In both the books and TV show, the Greyjoy Rebellion occurred nine years before the start of the story - meaning that it happened two years later in the TV continuity, relative to Robert's Rebellion.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 18:28, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

There's no precedent that I can see for this "shield timeline", and frankly it looks ridiculous to have two Stark shields so close together... Xanderen (talk) 09:27, March 1, 2016 (UTC)

I'm going to set it as what A Wiki of Ice and Fire does at this point and just put two Greyjoys sigils.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 14:55, March 1, 2016 (UTC)

Mistake on the Spoken by Theon Section

there is a mistake on the Spoken By Theon when he escaped with sansa and was hiding in the destroyed tree he said

Theon: Stay here i will Lure them away

Sansa: No i won't make it without you

Theon: You will, Go north only north jon is lord commander at castle black he'll help you

on the spoken by theon section it says something different if someone could fix it because i can't
