Policy on "Storm King" vs "House Durrendon"[]
We finally now know that they're called "House Durrendon", after five books of calling them just "the Storm Kings". The name "the Storm Kings" is actually somewhat unwieldy. The name has not yet appeared in the TV series. Nonetheless, should it be policy to refer to them now officially as "House Durrendon"?--The Dragon Demands (talk) 23:46, September 4, 2012 (UTC)
There seems to be some disagreement on this: is it spelled "Durrendon" or "Durrandon"? Or are we not sure because its based on a verbal report? A Wiki of Ice and Fire was using "Durrendon" so I thought that was correct.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 12:27, September 6, 2012 (UTC)
- I thought Durrandon was a good fit given the known existance of Durran. I must admit I managed to confuse myself with the article history earlier and didn't realize until after I had moved it back that the article had already been moved to Argilac Durrendon. I was just editing on the basis of Werthead's initial edits where he spelled it Durrandon, can someone cite a source for the name?--Opark 77 (talk) 17:16, September 6, 2012 (UTC)
- ....of course! "Durrandon" as a patronymic from "Durran"! I can't believe I didn't notice that connection. Yeah maybe AWOIAF just got it wrong based on verbal-only evidence. Werthead or someone over on there should raise the issue on the current article on AWOIAF. --The Dragon Demands (talk) 21:08, September 6, 2012 (UTC)
Ultimately, this will be a "Title" page, like "King in the North"; however, until "House Durrandon" is established within the TV continuity we can't have a page on it, so we should keep the House infobox here so that it functionally serves as our page on "House Durrandon" for the time being.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 14:56, December 3, 2012 (UTC)
