Kingslanding Population[]
In the latest episode during a conversation between Jon and Tyrion it is stated that "A million, give or take" people live in KL, should we update the wiki accordingly? KaTiON (talk) 20:34, September 1, 2017 (UTC)
Yes. I was just about to say the same thing. The half a million number was the population during Robert's Rebellion, but due to the WotFK and coming winter (and 20+ years of reproduction), the population has doubled. Dr. Legendary (talk) 17:54, September 9, 2017 (UTC)
So when is the population gonna be updated?[]
The population of King's Landing is approx. 1,000,000. Populations rise a lot after like 20 years, y'know? Vapingheathen (talk) 13:47, September 18, 2017 (UTC)
It directly contradicts what Jaime already said. It might just be yet another ham-fisted retcon. We'll see when Season 8 arrives.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 13:39, September 7, 2018 (UTC)
The terrain around King's Landing seems to shapeshift a lot[]
Almost every scene that show King's Landing from outside the walls seem to contradict eachother on a painful tier. For instance, in a scene where Ned was walking over a bridge in a foresty area, you can see the Red Keep from the side in the background, and it's pretty close. Now where was this, exactly? If you look at King's Landing in its entirety, you will see that there's nothing around the Red Keep but water. Another example is: if you look closely at the first image in this article, you'll see there are no flat grasslands close to King's Landing, as it immediately borders a forested mountain. So what's up with the scene in Season 7 where Bronn and Jaime are at the walls of the city observing the Unsullied on flat grassland? You can see the mountain in the distance but I'm pretty sure it's much larger and closer than what was shown. Some very annoying oversights. I'm pretty nitpicky, yeah.
