Coat of arms[]

Has the field colour of the Leygood coat of arms been mentioned by show sources? The Sword of the Morning (talk) 17:54, 12 March 2022 (UTC)

Bronn describes the shield of a Leygood knight in The Lion and the Rose. --Potsk (talk) 18:01, 12 March 2022 (UTC)
I just noticed the reference to "thunderbolts". If there is no further description, it should be made clear that the number of the thunderbolts and the colour of the field are based on the books. The Sword of the Morning (talk) 18:12, 12 March 2022 (UTC)
Right. Unless the heraldry is described in details ("thunderbolts" alone is not enough) either in the show or in any of its related sources, the image cannot be added to this article (nor to "Leygood (knight)"). The information from the novels is insufficient. Moonracer (talk) 12:25, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
I disagree. I think the blanks can be filled in, in the same vein that a character's name might be completed via book conjecture if only his or her first name is given in the show. Especially if it's a minor character/house and it's at no risk of contradicting anything. Also see Bronn's sigil, the colors of which are pure conjecture and the grey background is based on what we know from the books. --Potsk (talk) 20:56, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
As an editor of the German book and show wikis, I'm just an occasional visitor here, so it's up to you active editors to decide how to handle such things. From my point of view, the sheer amount of 'book conjecture' content in this wiki is almost ridiculous. So many unnecessary pages, based on a single random line or some obscure reference. Anyway, if you use book content, I would at least suggest to make clear it is book content. Otherwise you blurry the lines between book canon and show canon even more. The Sword of the Morning (talk) 21:54, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
If you think something is poorly handled here on the wiki, you are welcome to start an SCC vote on the matter. --Potsk (talk) 22:51, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
I appreciate your offer, but since this excessive book conjecture approach runs really deep in this wiki and since I'm barely active here, I don't think it makes sense to involve myself that heavily. Instead, I will point out a few things from time to time. The Sword of the Morning (talk) 09:22, 14 March 2022 (UTC)

Guy Who Made The Shield: I don't know how to add the description to the file telling that it's based on it's ASOIAF counterpart, as it won't let me upload the exact same file again with the text. If someone could tell me how, I'd appreciate it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Magma Productions (talkcontribs)

You have to edit the file like any other page. I've done it for now. --Potsk (talk) 22:51, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
Guy Who Made The Shield: Thank you and a bit confused, I tried to edit it using the edit tab at the top right corner but it just turned the page blank, what did you click? Just so I know next time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Magma Productions (talkcontribs)
"Edit" is right. --Potsk (talk) 00:03, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
