Apparently, yes, the giant seen in the Season 3 premiere and the one who got shot with a ballista during the Battle of Castle Black were considered to be the same individual (bald with a grey beard).
Second, the production team actually had a nickname to distinguish him by the end: "Dongo the Doomed", in contrast with "Mag the Mighty".
I don't know if we should include the "The Doomed" in a page title, it's a bit too in-joke, but might as well condense them both into "Dongo".
I assume that like "Mag", the in-universe explanation would be that "Dongo" is some sort of slurred contraction that the human wildlings made of an Old Tongue name.--The Dragon Demands (talk) 20:39, September 23, 2014 (UTC)
