East side in the books, west side in the TV series. Both Stark armies have to cross the river to engage the Lannisters, whilst in the books, the host split in half before they crossed. When Tywin's army is shown on the maps, it is shown west of the Green Fork as well. Strategically, I think this change makes a little more sense than the book, which puts 300-odd miles between the two Lannister hosts so they can't support each other, whilst here it's easier for the two of them to communicate.--Werthead 23:02, June 21, 2011 (UTC)

It be should written in the article that the battle was "off-screen" because of sparing budget, and that was also the reason to knock Tyrion down, so that there is a explanation for the viewer! --Exodianecross (talk) 16:15, July 16, 2014 (UTC)
