Mentioned by name?[]

Does anyone know a show source (GoT, H&L, ...) that mentions Aegon III by name? The Sword of the Morning (talk) 15:22, 8 October 2021 (UTC)

"Son of Daemon"?[]

Surely it should be "son of Rhaenyra" since she is the designated heir and ostensibly outranks Daemon? Or at the very least "son of Rhaenyra and Daemon"? Kovahar22 (talk) 15:16, 10 October 2022 (UTC)

The naming convention is that the disambiguation includes the name of the father, except in rare circumstances like Aegon Targaryen (son of Elia Martell) (here, "son of Rhaegar" is obviously too vague). —Potsk signature (talk) 15:30, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
Yes, I believe that is appropriate in most cases since (most of) Westeros is an overtly patriarchal society but I feel like in this case Rhaenyra is both a more prominent character and the higher-ranking part of the relationship. I also feel like more people looking for this page will be looking for "Aegon, son of Rhaenyra" than "Aegon, son of Daemon".
The titles of this and of Viserys are however unambiguous and I suspect will be changed in a few years time anyway to match what eventually happens so it's not a huge issue but I thought it worthy of consideration. Kovahar22 (talk) 17:40, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
