Actor[]

Any information, who will play Aegon II in the show?Adam100 (talk) 02:03, 6 January 2022 (UTC)

Ty Tennant (young) and Tom Glynn-Carney (adult). We are not adding this to the article as it hasn't been confirmed by official sources. --Potsk (talk) 02:31, 6 January 2022 (UTC)

Transcript of an audition tape[]

Erryk: Prince Adrian [Aegon] spent many a night in this place. You see now his true nature? But you haven't seen everything.
(Long pause, they both look at someone)
Arryk: Adrian's child?
Erryk: One of many in this facility, I'd wager.
Arryk: (scoff) You've tolerated heretofore the prince's proclivities.
Erryk: That is because he was the prince. A pampered degenerate, lavish and lazy, but harmless. Except for the women he violated. And now, will we serve a king of such base nature? Or should we not return home and find fortunes elsewhere?
Arryk: (scoff) Where will we go, where men are free from perversions and vice? What lie do you know that none succumb to their darkest urges? Men will be men. And as long as there is peace in Westeros and the price of beer holds steady, I care not for what the monarch does in his spare hours.
Erryk: But if this is what he does in his spare hours, how then do you think he will rule?
(long pause)
Arryk: He will have the Hand and the small council to keep him in check.
Erryk: (smiles) I endeavoured over time to do the same.

The article title[]

I still think the title should have "(son of Viserys I)" appended for the time being despite Aegon being an onscreen character. Jon Snow is also an Aegon, and there are a ton of references to other characters by that name in Game of Thrones, and also in Histories & Lore which is surprisingly popular among casual viewers. People will probably be searching this name either expecting Jon, the Conqueror, or a disambiguation page. --Potsk (talk) 15:18, 11 March 2022 (UTC)

I agree. Moonracer (talk) 15:49, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
I'll make it happen. — Darth Dracarys (talk) 22:47, 11 March 2022 (UTC)

Why delete the "In the books" section?[]

Is the spoiler tag not enough? If readers cannot resist the urge to read it anyway and spoil the show for themselves, they can that in the AWOIAF, so deleting the section defeats its purpose. Moonracer (talk) 11:33, 2 September 2022 (UTC)

You were in agreement when we reached a consensus about this. Why is this a problem now? —Potsk signature (talk) 13:25, 2 September 2022 (UTC)
Yes, but the entire section, not even the first paragraph? Why not leave the main details? Moonracer (talk) 14:25, 2 September 2022 (UTC)
During the airing of Game of Thrones, the "In the books" section would only cover content that had already been adapted. It would make sense to adhere to this for House of the Dragon as well. — Darth Dracarys (talk) 14:06, 2 September 2022 (UTC)

The gold dragon sigil[]

Is Aegon using his golden personal sigil at the coronation (image)? Kovahar22 (talk) 12:50, 17 October 2022 (UTC)

No, he's using the same banner as Jaehaerys I at the Great Council, which is colored silver. I'm sure the gold dragon and Rhaenyra's quartered shield will appear in the next episode. I can't imagine Ryan Condal would be patient enough to wait for season 2 to show it on screen. —Potsk signature (talk) 13:11, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
Ahh, right. Yeah, hopefully it appears next episode. Kovahar22 (talk) 13:14, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
