Rhys Ifans (born Rhys Owain Evans, 22 July 1967) is a Welsh actor, producer, and musician, best known for his roles in Notting Hill, Enduring Love, Kevin & Perry Go Large, and The Amazing Spider-Man. He portrays Ser Otto Hightower in Season 1 of House of the Dragon.[1]
Biography[]
Rhys Ifans was born as Rhys Owain Evans in Haverfordwest, Wales. He is the son of nursery school teacher Beti-Wyn Davies and primary school teacher Eurwyn Evans, and the brother of actor Ilŷr Ifans. He attended Ysgol Pentrecelyn and Ysgol Maes Garmon, and studied at Theatr Clywd and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He made his professional debut as Dave on Spatz.
On February 11, 2021, it was announced that Ifans would be playing Otto Hightower in House of the Dragon.
