In the books[]
In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, the Plaza of Pride is is an open market where the city's slavers take their customers to view their purchases. In the center of the plaza stands a red brick fountain with a monstrous hammered bronze harpy rearing 20 foot tall in its middle. Yellow water smelling of brimstone gushes from her heavy breasts.
In A Storm of Swords, Daenerys inspects the Unsullied at the Plaza of Pride, but when she decides to purchase all the Unsullied of the city, including the half-trained who have not yet won their caps, the number turns out to be so large that the purchase is completed at the Plaza of Punishment, which in the show was replaced with the Walk of Punishment.
