Mark Lewis Jones (born 16 November 1964) is a Welsh actor, born in Rhosllanerchrugog, North Wales. He began acting with the Clwyd Youth Theatre in 1985 and has worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company. In television he is best known for his roles as police offers in 55 Degrees North and Murder Prevention and has also guest-starred in British television series such as Torchwood, Merlin and Waking the Dead. His biggest movie roles have been as Hogg the Whaler in Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, the soldier Tecton in Troy, Captain Moden Canady in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and Thomas Longstride in Robin Hood.

In Game of Thrones he is playing the role of Shagga and was confirmed in the role on 20 August 2010.
