Lord Paramount of the Vale, Lord of the Vale or Defender of the Vale is the title held by the Great House of the Vale of Arryn under the authority of the King of the Andals and the First Men. Traditionally, this is the patriarch of House Arryn.

In the A Song of Ice and Fire books, there is no mention of House Arryn actually being granted the title of Lords Paramount. Instead, the title of "Defender of the Vale" seems to be the equivalent.
