Kristofer Hivju (December 7, 1978) is a Norwegian actor. He has appeared in both Norwegian and English language productions such as Størst av alt (2007), Manhunt (2008), The Thing (2011) and After Earth (2013).

In Game of Thrones he plays Tormund Giantsbane. He initially appeared as a guest star in the third season and returned to the role in seasons four, five, and six as part of the starring cast. The role was announced in May 2012[1] and Hivju was confirmed in the role in July 2012 at the San Diego Comic-Con casting reveals.[2]
