Jonathan Pryce (born 1 June 1947) is a Welsh actor who has appeared in films such as Brazil, Jumpin' Jack Flash, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Glengarry Glen Ross, Evita, Tomorrow Never Dies, Stigmata, Ronin (alongside fellow Game of Thrones star Sean Bean) and the Pirates of the Caribbean (also with Mackenzie Crook) and G.I. Joe film series.
In Game of Thrones he plays the part of the High Sparrow in the fifth and sixth seasons.
He is currently starring the BBC/FX period drama series Taboo, along with his Game of Thrones co-stars Jefferson Hall, Nicholas Blane, Oona Chaplin, Roger Ashton-Griffiths, and Mark Gatiss.
