Sir John Ronald Leon, 4th Baronet (born 16 August 1934), known professionally as John Standing, is a British actor. He has a very long career in television and film, as well as theatrical work. His most recent genre role was in V For Vendetta. He has a previous George R.R. Martin connection, as he appeared in the 1987 film based on Martin's novella Nightflyers.
In Game of Thrones he plays Lord Jon Arryn (as a corpse). He was confirmed in the role on 16 July 2010.
