'How to use / add Images' on Game of Thrones Wiki:

How to add your own image

1. A description of the image (What is happening in the image, who is in the image, etc. No nonsensical names to title it.)
2. The source of the image (If possible, where did you find this image, was it a screencap? Was it from HBO.COM? Tumblr? EW?)
3. A licensing tag (Usually Fairuse, HBOimage and Permission will suffice as the license tag) These are templates, so should be in the brackets {{ on either side
4. An appropriate category (Do not create categories unless you ask an admin. Most categories used are "Image (Character)" "Image (Season 1 (2) or (3)", etc) "Image (Season 8)" "Image (episode name)" "Image (Tyrion Lannister)" There is also "Image (Brighten darkened image)" for admins to come back to and lighten up any images that are too dark to see.
5. Make sure you uploaded image is properly titled/named. (Use a name that pertains to the image. No: sii23rsas.jpg instead: Dany in Second Sons.jpg.)
• To add an image to this category, put in that image article, or add in the bottom right hand box under "Templates"
• The size of the image. We do not add "boxy" shaped images to infoboxes on this wiki if it cannot be helped. "Longer and sleek" is the way we go when it comes to keeping a cohesive wikia. Boxy images take up too much space, and longer/sleek has been the way we've done it since the beginning of this wiki. There isn't an "exact ratio" for this; mainly we've always done it by the "eye". If you are unsure how to do properly crop an image for an infobox, please have a bureaucrat, not an admin do it for you and don't bother doing it yourself. Leave the task for another person. Thank you.
• To categorize "Category:Image (Season 6), etc" (basically the category for Category images, is "Images, and Gallery". "Image Galleries" are ONLY used for the Gallery pages, example: "Gallery: Jon Snow" "Gallery: Samwell Tarly" etc, pages. These galleries will have the category of "Image Galleries" and that category is only used then, in character Galleries.
• On main article pages, we leave ALL images thumb sized and to the right. (Unless there is no infobox box and there is a main image atop the page that needs to be a little bigger to be seen)
• Add to a page by using the Gallery widget or by using the code
• You can also link the image to a page using the code
