House Selmy[1][a] of Harvest Hall is a minor vassal house from the Stormlands that holds fealty to House Baratheon of Storm's End.
Known members[]
- Ser {Lyonel Selmy}, a knight of Harvest Hall.
- Ser {Barristan Selmy}, his son. Known as "Barristan the Bold." Former Lord Commander of the Kingsguard of Robert Baratheon. Since being dismissed by Joffrey Baratheon, he tracked down Daenerys Targaryen and swore his loyalty to her, joining her Queensguard. Slain when fighting the Sons of the Harpy.
In the books[]
In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, House Selmy is a house sworn to Storm's End. Their seat is Harvest Hall and their sigil is three stalks of yellow wheat on brown.
At the parley with Stannis and Catelyn, Renly braggingly lists all the houses that support him, among them House Selmy.[2]
Ser Barristan Selmy is by far the House's most famous member. The current lord of Harvest Hall is his great-nephew Arstan, but nothing is known about him except his name and title.
So far in the books, Ser Barristan is alive.
