In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, House Farring is among the principal supporters of Stannis Baratheon in the War of the Five Kings. Their coat of arms is per pale purple and white, two knights combatant with swords, counter-charged.
House Farring's involvement in the Dance of the Dragons is unknown.
