Lord Gormon Massey[3] is the Lord of Stonedance and head of House Massey during the reigns of Viserys I and Aegon II.

Background[]
Gormon is the father of Elinda Massey, lady-in-waiting to Rhaenyra Targaryen. He also has a son who was a squire to a knight of House Tarly in 112 AC,[1] and a younger son named Emmon.[4]
House of the Dragon: Season 1[]
Lord Massey is mentioned when Alicent Hightower and Rhaenyra Targaryen gossip about his son's betrothal to Elinor Stokeworth during the Heir's Tournament.[1]
At the start of the Dance of the Dragons, Daemon orders Bartimos Celtigar to send a raven to Lord Massey. Maester Gerardys later confirms that House Massey has declared for Rhaenyra.[2]
House of the Dragon: Season 2[]
Gormon is present at the Black Council when Rhaenyra returns from the Stormlands.[5]

Gormon Massey's character description reads as follows:
- "A member of Queen Rhaenyra’s black council and father to her lady in waiting, Elinda Massey."[3]
In the books[]
In Fire & Blood, Lord Massey sat on the black council. While the TV show clarifies that he is the father of Elinda Massey, their relation in the books is unclear.
Gormon's life is extended in the TV series. In the books, he died attempting to claim Vermithor during the Red Sowing.
