Ghoyan Drohe[1] is a city in western Essos, along one of the Rhoyne's tributaries.
In the books[]
In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, Ghoyan Drohe is a ruined city in the Velvet Hills, on the banks of the Little Rhoyne. It was destroyed by the dragonlords during the Rhoynish Wars. Before its destruction, it is said to have been "a fair place, green and flowering, a city of canals and fountains." In the present day, it is abandoned and sinking back into the earth.
Daenerys passes Ghoyan Drohe on her and the khalasar's journey from Pentos to Vaes Dothrak.
Tyrion meets the crew of the Shy Maid at Ghoyan Drohe.
