Gerardys is a maester of the Citadel in service to Rhaenyra Targaryen at Dragonstone.
Biography[]
Background[]
Gerardys is Rhaenyra's household maester.[1]
House of the Dragon: Season 1[]
Gerardys witnesses the wedding of Rhaenyra and Daemon Targaryen.[2]
Six years later, Gerardys tutors Jacaerys Velaryon in High Valyrian by reading to him the history of Aegon's Conquest in that language.[4]
Maester Gerardys attends Rhaenyra as goes into labor pains, he comforts Lucerys, when Rhaenyra tells him and his brother of the death of their grandfather and the coup in King's Landing. Later, Gerardys watches the funeral of Visenya, he kneels after Rhaenyra is crowned as Queen. At the Black Council, Maester Geradys gathers around the Painted Table, he informs Queen Rhaenyra about the support of Houses Celtigar, Massey, Darklyn, Staunton, and Bar Emmon. Geradys proposes, with the acquiescence of Daemon, to send a raven to Lord Grover Tully, as Riverrun was an old friend of her father, to gain the support of the Riverlands.[3]
House of the Dragon: Season 2[]
Gerardys is present at the Black Council when Rhaenyra returns from the Stormlands and the funeral of Lucerys Velaryon.[5]
Behind the scenes[]
It has been speculated that Gerardys is named after Vince Gerardis, the manager of George R.R. Martin and a co-executive producer on House of the Dragon.[6]
His character description for Season 2 reads as follows:
- "A healer and advisor for Queen Rhaenyra at Dragonstone."[7]

In Fire & Blood, Gerardys was the maester at Dragonstone. He was a renowned healer.
