Background[]
Geoff spends his whole life wanting to see King's Landing, but when he finally got there he was not allowed to enter the Red Keep and other monuments such as the Great Sept of Baelor and the Dragonpit were in ruins. He was sent to the Riverlands along with his comrades to keep the peace following the assassinations at the Twins.[1]
Game of Thrones: Season 7[]
He is sitting by a campfire with his comrades singing a song when Arya approaches their camp. They offer to share their food and wine with her and she accepts their invitation. He gives her a rabbit they have cooked some blackberry wine that he has made. He reminisces about his mother, who had told him that strangers would be kind to him if he was kind to them, and his father, all alone on his boat and wishing he was there with him. He laughs along with the others when Arya tells them that she is going to King's Landing with the intention of killing Cersei, mistaking it for a joke.[1]
In the books[]
In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, the only character named Geoff is a ranger of the Night's Watch (mentioned in the appendix of A Feast for Crows).
