Finn Jones (born Terrence Jones, 24 March 1988) is an English actor. He is best known for the recurring role of Jamie in the successful British soap opera Hollyoaks (which also featured Roxanne McKee and Nathalie Emmanuel) and its spin-off, Hollyoaks Later. He has also appeared in Doctors and The Bill. More recently, he has appeared as "Santiago Jones" in a two-part episode of Doctor Who spin-off The Sarah-Jane Adventures, in the episode titled Death of the Doctor which is one of two episodes to feature the Doctor and the only featuring Matt Smith, the eleventh Doctor.

In Game of Thrones Jones is playing Ser Loras Tyrell. He confirmed via Twitter that he had gotten the role on 19 June 2010. He initially appeared as a guest star in the first season and returned in this role for the second season. Before being cast as Loras, he had auditioned for the roles of Jon Snow[1] and Robb Stark[2]

In the February 2013 issue of Gay Times magazine, Jones commented on playing a homosexual character: "In terms of the gay community, I’ve got a very strong reaction that people are happy with it, happy that gay characters are being portrayed but not in a sensationalized or stereotyped way, and they’re being put into a world that is a very masculine, hard world. I hope that they think that we’re not stereotyping them."[3]

Finn is a big fan of the swords-and-sorcery medieval fantasy cartoon Adventure Time, created by Pendelton Ward, which airs on Cartoon Network.[4]

In 2016, Finn Jones was cast as the superhero Iron Fist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Netflix series Iron Fist and The Defenders.[5]
