The Driftwood Throne[1] is the throne of House Velaryon. It is located in the Hall of Nine in High Tide.
History[]
House of the Dragon: Season 1[]
When Viserys I Targaryen visits High Tide, Corlys Velaryon waits on the Driftwood Throne to greet him.[2]
Rhaenys Targaryen sits on the Driftwood Throne upon hearing the news that her husband Corlys has contracted blood fever after being severely wounded in an ambush during the War for the Stepstones.[3]
In the books[]
In Fire & Blood, the Driftwood Throne was originally housed in Castle Driftmark before being moved to High Tide. It is said to have been gifted to the Velaryons by the Merling King, a god associated with the narrow sea.
