The Dragonmont[1] is a volcano on the island Dragonstone in Blackwater Bay. It is used as a lair for dragons.
History[]
House of the Dragon: Season 1[]
Daemon climbs into the Dragonmont to retrieve three eggs laid by Syrax.[2]
At the start of the Dance of the Dragons, Daemon enters the Dragonmont and summons Vermithor with a dragonsong.[1]
House of the Dragon: Season 2[]
The dragonriders use a cave in the Dragonmont as a place to land their dragons.[3][4][5]
Ser Steffon Darklyn attempts to claim Seasmoke in the Dragonmont, and is burned alive.[5]
In the books[]
In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, Dragonmont is a rich source of dragonglass. On the foot of the volcano are villages bound to the castle Dragonstone.
