- Harrold: "Have you heard of Ser Chester Mooton?"
- Criston: "No."
- Harrold: "He was sworn protector to the king's daughter, Saera. The pair were as inseparable as they were familiar... until Jaehaerys had Mooton gelded and sent to the Wall."
- — Harrold Westerling warns Criston Cole about his affection for Alicent[src]
Ser Chester Mooton[1] was a knight of House Mooton, a member of the Kingsguard of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen, and the sworn protector of Princess Saera Targaryen. Due to the nature of the knight's relationship with the princess, Jaehaerys had Chester gelded and sent to the Wall.
Behind the scenes[]
Chester was mentioned in an earlier draft of the script for "Driftmark," in which Harrold Westerling tells of the fate he met as a warning to Criston Cole.[1]
In the books[]
In Fire & Blood, there is no character named Chester Mooton. However, his fate is comparable to those of Braxton Beesbury and Lucamore Strong.
