- ―Cheese
Cheese was a ratcatcher in the Red Keep during the Dance of the Dragons.
Biography[]
Cheese is an indebted gambler working as a ratcatcher in the lower levels of the Red Keep. Through his work, he discovered and became familiar with King Maegor's secret tunnels and passages.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Cheese is codenamed "Charlie C" in casting calls.[3] In April 2023, Redanian Intelligence confirmed that Mark Stobbart had been cast as Cheese and that he was expected to work on the second season until September 2023.[4]
In the books[]
In Fire & Blood, "Cheese" was a rat catcher in the Red Keep familiar with the secret passages and doors that King Maegor Targaryen ordered built during his years of rule. His true name is unknown.
In contrast to his accomplice, Cheese managed to escape from the gold cloaks, and disappeared without a trace. His fate is unknown, and he is not mentioned in the book afterwards.

Notes[]
- ↑ In "A Son for a Son," Daemon Targaryen and Otto Hightower mention that days have passed since Viserys Targaryen and Lucerys Velaryon's deaths. Unlike the first season, no major time jumps are expected; therefore, House of the Dragon: Season 2 takes place in 132 AC.
