Acorn Hall Pin

A map showing the location of Acorn Hall on the continent of Westeros.

Acorn Hall is a castle in the Riverlands, the region controlled by House Tully of Riverrun. The castle is located south east of Riverrun, near the hill High Heart.[1][2] It is the seat of House Smallwood.[3]

Season 1

Pypar, annoyed at Jon Snow's sense of entitlement for not being selected as a ranger, explains to Jon and Samwell Tarly that the real reason he was sent to join the Night's Watch was because he was performing as a singer at Acorn Hall when he refused to grant sexual favors to a lord, who then falsely accused him steal the silverware, leading to his arrest and sentencing to the Night's Watch. When Sam points out that Pyp had earlier said that he was arrested for stealing a wheel of cheese to feed his starving younger sister, he explains that this is just a lie he came up with because the real reason was embarrassing.[4]

In the books

In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels Acorn Hall is the seat of House Smallwood, a minor House sworn to House Vance of Wayfarer's Rest. It is an oaken keep surrounded by stone curtain walls.
