On May 26, 2023, Francesca Orsi stated that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, then titled The Hedge Knight, was envisioned to run "ideally year-to-year and arcing out a three-season series, which maps out the three novellas that George wrote."[4]
On February 12, 2025, Orsi revealed that HBO are considering filming Seasons 2 and 3 back-to-back.[2]
On March 9, 2025, George R.R. Martin confirmed in an interview with Collider that Ira Parker was "working on the second season."[1]
