Who’s your favorite character? Please comment below and also mention why you like him/her. Mine is Daenerys. Idk why but I find her very inspirational. And I love her hair :D

Yeah but I’m referring to Catelyn and Lysa specifically
Agree that Cat and Lysa were nitwits. I don't think it's fair to say that they really started everything, though. Lysa was outright crazy, Cat was just a little on the slow side when it came to identifying other people's duplicity and even slower in knowing what to do in those situations, and both were manipulated by Littlefinger (who was also psychotic in the sense that he lacked empathy so deeply---even worse than Lysa when it came to that particular symptom ----but none were responsible for the Targaryen madness, the White Walkers, or the Lannisters' incest/treason.)
There's a tinfoil hat theory that Baelish may have started the lie about Lyanna's kidnapping to manipulate Robert, which I find interesting, but there's no evidence for it AFAIK.
@Aragorn Skywalker Of House Stark I Like him too , and that's exactly what I thought about him.
Ned truly was stubborn and could be idiotic. That's part of his charm, though. There are worse flaws to have. :P
But yeah...so many great characters on the show! I'm sorry if I'm coming across as a little too passionate! I just love them all, even the villains, because they're so well-written! (At least for the first few seasons....I didn't like 7 or 8 as much, though they still had their moments.)
Lysa killed her husband because she was madly in love...Catelyn arrested Tyrion for no reason...that got her husband and son both killed
Catelyn had a reason, but it was based on false information
Definitely Lord Tywin Lannister
"Seven kingdoms united in the fear of one man, Tywin Lannister" ~Tyrion Lannister
I believe the above statement says it all. The only character that could control or rather straight out dominate the characters with the likes of Tyrion, Cersie, Jaime, Petyr Baelish, Lord Varys, and most importantly that dumb witted joffrey.
Two scenes perfectly show how powerful Tywin really was, first one the scene in maybe season 3 or 4. Everyone remembers the iconic dialogue "Anyone who says 'I am the king' is no true king". But do you remember what happened before that. Joffrey being joffrey tried to humilate Tyrion and tyrion said something witty of course then everyone in that room started to insult tyrion, making him apologize to joffrey saying "How dare he insult our king" then of course when tywin literally squashed joffrey no one dared to say anything. The second scene being Tyrion putting Joffrey in his place when he asked tywin to conduct the hand meetings in the red keep, well it was one of my favorite scenes in the whole series.
Glad that he died in Season 4. Thankfully his legacy was intact otherwise D&D would have destroyed his character like they did with Littlefinger, Varys, Tyrion and Jaime.
ps- second favorite is Tyrion but only through season 1 to season 4.
Catelyn had a reason, but it was based on false information
Also, Ned died because he came forward about Cersei and Jaime's relationship. Cersei and Tywin didn't want to kill him, and Joffrey didn't actually care about Tyrion.
Robb was basically killed because he declared a civil war and was winning, also having violated an alliance with Walder Frey, although the war was admittedly at Catelyn's encouragement. Robb might not have been able to initiate and lead it for as long as he did without her there and supporting him, so in some ways, she probably did get her son killed. It was Robb's decision to break the betrothal agreement with House Frey, though, so the Red Wedding also wasn't entirely Catelyn's fault.
Daenerys and Jaime Lannister
What do you think?
