Euron took his time readying the Red Keep for his rule. His navy had sealed the Blackwater and patrolled a wide span. Euron systematically eliminated all the Unsullied and Dothraki that had remained in the capital.
As he awaited word from Harry Strickland from Bitterbridge, Euron decided it would be a great time to introduce himself to his people. He had his people spread the word throughout the city that an important message from the king would be made at midday. When people heard the news they assumed the queen had gotten married privately. Euron's men made sure to get the crowd interested so they would gather near the Red Keep. And they did.
Euron stepped out onto the high wall of the Red keep with an Iron born on either side of him. He stood smiling for a moment at the enormous crowd his men had gathered.
"People of Kings Landing. For too Long War has torn Westeros apart. Kings and queens roll through here sit on the Iron Throne, and shit all over you. They bring death and poverty to you while you cower in fear. Fear of starvation. Fear of living in filth and disease. Fear for your children's mortality. Fear for your own mortality. Just when you thought the wars were over, a foreign invader took your queen and cast her out. I ask you....Have you seen your queen? I haven't. It was supposed to be a peaceful transition, that's what they said. Where is your queen? They didn't want to kill the innocent people they said. But do you know what happened to house Frey? She killed them all. That's what. An old man living in his castle, not bothering anyone. The dragon queen said bend the knee. Lord Walder Frey, a man who saw 93 name days at least, refused. For his loyalty the foriegn invader, the dragon queen killed him and every Frey know to live. Tell me people of Kings Landing." He paused for effect. "Is that what you call peaceful?" The crowd was captivated and let out a collective no, followed by a din of negative feelings. " No. That is murder. THAT. IS MURDER!!! " the crowd began to chant murder almost uniformly. Euron waited a moment so he could take in the sound. His ego swelling as he did. Then he raised his hands to silence them. "People of Kings Landing. I am Euron Greyjoy of the Iron Islands. My ancestors once ruled from the Islands to Harrenhal before a foriegn invader brought his dragons here and killed thousands just as the dragon queen did. And it should be no surprise that it was her ancestors that drove mine to the grave." The crowd erupted again throwing curses at the Targaryen dynasty. Again he let them throw their curses for a moment before raising his hands again. "It is time for a Westerosy to again rule these lands. I have eliminated the dragon queens threat to us. " He held up the head of Daenerys Targaryen for the crowd to gaze upon. The crowd exploded into a hostile cheer at seeing her head. Euron held it up showing it from side to side, then tossed it into the crowd. "People of Westeros. People of Kings Landing. Will you make me your KING?!?!" Again the crowd erupted, this time chanting Euron's name over and over. He stood on his wall smiling and chanting with the crowd. After a while of enticing the crowd to follow him as their king he bowed to them and retreated into the Red Keep.

A raven had come from the Twins. Arya had rode hard to get there quickly and immediately sent word of all she had learned. She also sent a raven to Edmure Tully to warn him as well.
"Your grace. "Sansa turned to see Tyrion carrying a letter and a most grim face.
"What is it Lord Tyrion?" His expression was enough to make Sansa worry. Tyrion tried to find the words but he couldn't, so he gave Sansa the letter from her sister. As Sansa read it her face matched Tyrion's. They shared a despairing stare before Tyrion spoke.
"It would appear I am no longer hand to the queen." His words were slow and sad. "Euron Greyjoy. Has taken Kings Landing. "Tyrion had to force the words out. "He will come north. Maybe not right away. But he will come. He has a navy. He has the largest group of mercenaries in Westeros, perhaps the world. They have elephants I'm told. Elephants will make any cavalry look like ants under our feet. Does the north have the numbers to resist, are they recovered from the war at the Wall? Will they be able to rally to protect their freedom?" Tyrion had no more words. Only a look of a doomed man.
"The North is different. We are strong. We will resist." Sansa was trying to convince herself as much as she was Tyrion. "You are staying here aren't you?" Tyrion gave a half hearted smile.
"Where else would I go?" His smile melted into sadness again.
"Good. Send ravens to all the northern houses, and Theon. They must all know, and they must all start preparing. Euron's mercenaries are southern, or at least from a southern climate. They don't know what winter is like in the north. At the very least we have that advantage. We can all hold up in our castles for quite a long time and they will freeze to death outside our walls. The dead are gone but winter is not." Sansa sounded like a seasoned commander leading her troops, it's just too bad Tyrion was the only one hearing it. "Tell Theon to abandon his home and bring his people and supplies here. They don't have enough there to hold up against Euron. He will loose. Tell him that's an order." Tyrion gave her a smile. Her demeanor and composure gave him hope. Tyrion bowed and took his leave.
